Jack’s Top 7 – Favourite Films of All Time

7. The King’s Speech (2010)

A great film about a friendship between two characters and Colin Firth’s King George VI overcoming his speech impediment. Emotional and funny and a real crowd-pleaser.

6. Rocky (1976)

One of the best underdog stories ever and if you’re not up on your feet cheering by the end then there’s no hope for you! Rocky is such a great character you can’t help but love him and will him to win.

5. When Harry Met Sally (1989)

A great romantic comedy about relationships and whether men and women really can be friends. Brilliant writing and brilliant performances make this a real joy to watch. Hilarious, romantic and really engaging.

4. The Big Lebowski (1998)

A film so bonkers and funny that it is a great example of a film that doesn’t seem to even have that much plot but really does when you look at it. The Dude is a real all timer of a character and the whole crazy ensemble are awesome. Super funny and enjoyable to watch.

3. The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)

A great film about a dysfunctional family that has both emotion and comedy. A whole cast of characters that are all relatable and all funny. A fun family film about a family trying to have fun.

2. Good Will Hunting (1997)

A real emotional journey for one character and his search for what to do in life. Matt Damon and Robin Williams both deliver amazing performances and any scene they are in together is a memorable one.

1. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)

My favourite movie of all time. Epic and tense, action packed and dramatic. Great characters and an even better story about three outlaws searching for some buried gold. Crosses and double crosses galore, twists and turns and an epic conclusion. One of the best directed films of all time.

Honourable mentions:

Inglourious Basterds (2009)

The Lord of the Rings (2001-2003)

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)

A Few Good Men (1992)

Goodfellas (1990)
